North of England Regional Championships 2022 - Entered Bands
The North of England Brass Band Championships to be held on the 19 and 20 March, look forward to a feast of competitive banding in Durham. The contest, being held in the Gala theatre, was the last event staged in the theatre in 2020, before we all were put into lock down. Staff and Management, along with the regional committee look forward to everyone back.
A strong line up of Thirty-Eight Bands will this year compete over the five sections for the honour of representing the region at the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain in September and October.
Regional Secretary Tony Griffiths said, “We hope all our bands and their visitors enjoy a safe and pleasant return to the regional contest.”
Sadly, we are down five bands this year and we hope to see them all back in 2023. On a positive note, we welcome North Lakes Brass, based in Keswick and Flookburgh Silver Band, back to the regional contest”
The fourth section start the contest on Saturday 19th at 1100am followed by section two and one. The third and Championships sections compete on Sunday 20th. Tickets are available from the Gala box-office via phone, in person or on-line.
