Croy Silver
History
Established in 1875, Croy Silver Band has a long and varied history of providing live entertainment in the village of Croy and the surrounding area.
One of the few remaining brass bands in North Lanarkshire, the band was originally formed by families coming to the area to work in the local coal mines. Although the mines have now gone, the band remains very much a part of the local community: providing concerts; playing at community events; and supporting local charities.
We aim to promote and support the tradition of brass banding within the area and to provide entertainment as well as opportunities for life-long learning and are proud to welcome players of all abilities and backgrounds.
