Amersham Concert

History

The earliest reference to a brass band in Amersham dates back to 1845.  In more recent years, a number of new bands have been established in addition to the original band, and Amersham Concert Brass was formed in 2020 with a focus on concert and performance opportunities.  The band competes in the London & Southern Counties Region, and will be playing in the Second Section from 2025.  The band has a broad repertoire of concert music and performs regularly at local concerts and events.  Amersham Concert Brass has been conducted by Malcolm Peach since its formation, who also plays tuba for Amersham Band in the Championship Section, and works in music education.
